Open Green Map

In 2008, Green Map System took part in the NetSquared 3 event. We shared our work on the Open Green Map (then called My Green Map) and since that time, we have seen the use of this tool grow alongside our network of registered Green Map projects, as described below. With demand for this platform growing, we have many new features we'd love to build. Perhaps this is something we can work together on? 

Mapmaking is our medium for fostering inclusive participation in sustainable community development. We share adaptable mapmaking tools and universal Green Map Icons with 785 diverse teams in 60 countries. Hundreds of locally published Green Maps have connected millions of people to local social, cultural, ecological and green living sites. Our social mapping platform, the Open Green Map, has radically reduced financial, technical and financial barriers to public participation.  Mobile apps and widgets offer residents, visitors, entrepreneurs and policymakers inspiring local models and global connections.
